Mission Complete
Back in Country. Got a flash of anger/anxiety when the agent at Narita said, Your flight is canceled. She paused before stating that she could put us on a direct flight to Chicago and we said, OK (Felt like Gump).
Last night in Tokyo spent doing a little shopping and ate at Wolfgang Pucks which had English and pictures on the menu.
It was a full two hour bus ride from the hotel to the airport. Apparently it is rude to use your cell phone or blow your nose on the bus, however it is perfectly acceptable to yawn, belch, fart, snort, hack, and make other noises as the man behind me on the bus demonstrated the entire two hour trip.
We were really thirsty after check-in but we were so low on Yen we could only afford a small drink at the Macadonalda (that’s McDonalds to you and me, but their pronunciation.)
Purchased my first duty free buy with a bottle of Japanese whiskey. Jenn caused a diversion in the Cosmetics duty free by spilling a handful of 1 yen coins on the floor.
Now to put all the pictures together and maybe post a trip summary. Appreciation to Jenn for setting up this blog and Kelly for making a great trip possible.
